New varnish to an accordion

Materials should be carefully chosen.
Accordions don’t always break up mechanically and the reason to repair might be in the materials. In this accordion, the varnish was damaged in two ways: the varnish had holes from several places and the surface looked like cream.
Another view for old varnish.
Original varnish was proximately 30 years old and it was polyester based. In other words: the accordion was covered by small layer of plastic.
Half way!
Because polyester varnish can’t be fixed locally, all material was taken away. First all mechanisms were taken off and then the sand paper needed to the job. This took a lot of time.
Final varnish.
The new varnish made the accordion look like new. Finally all mechanisms were put back and the instrument was in good shape and given back to the customer.
